Audio Animations
A project from Year 2 on my Animation Course at Staffordshire University, January - May 2022
Audio Animations
In this project, I created several 10-second animations based on both supplied and self-generated audio, including a non-verbal piece. The primary aim was to improve my skills in lip-syncing and using body language and facial expressions to convey a character's emotions and thoughts. I also learned how to effectively use video references to guide character movements.
Throughout the process, I became more proficient in lip-syncing, though it was initially challenging and became tedious over time. I found the scripting and animation relatively easy since the stories were short, and I already had ideas in mind. However, the animations could have benefited from better timing and more fluid movements. If I were to approach the project again, I would focus on key framing, a more structured technique that would allow for better planning and smoother execution of movement and story.
